What You’ll Do
  • Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for assigned patients.
  • Deliver routine and complex care in an operating room/surgery environment while adapting to clinical contingencies.
  • Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
  • Assess psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in alignment with your level of practice.
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
  • Educate patients, families, and/or caregivers by assessing learning needs and identifying issues/resources.
  • Coordinate care by making appropriate assignments and delegating to other care providers as needed.

What You Need
Required
  • RN License: Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license
  • BLS: AHA certification required
  • ACLS: AHA certification required

Preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in the related nursing specialty
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)

About the Assignment
This travel RN role supports an operating room/surgery team at PMC, with an expectation that you’ll float to the main campus as staffing needs require. You’ll work a day shift schedule (6:30AM–5:00PM) on 4x10s, helping deliver patient care in a fast-paced surgical setting while maintaining strong documentation, protocol adherence, and patient-centered education.
