What You’ll Do
Provide patient-centered care within the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for various patient ages
Assess patient condition upon arrival and establish care priorities
Continuously monitor patient progress and respond to changes
Develop and implement individualized care plans
Administer medications and perform point-of-care testing
Educate patients and families about recovery and discharge procedures
Document all assessments and interventions accurately in EPIC EMR
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care
Adhere to facility policies, confidentiality, and safety standards
What You Need
Required:
Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications via AHA
1+ years of recent RN experience in PACU or surgical recovery
Ability to work 10-hour day shifts, including weekends and on-call rotations
Preferred:
Experience working with EPIC EMR
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to floating within surgical services as needed
