What You’ll Do
Prepare and maintain sterile fields for various surgical procedures, including transplants, open heart, urology, neurology, robotics, and more.
Assist surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies in accordance with physician preference cards.
Transport patients pre- and post-operation, ensuring comfort and safety.
Set up operating rooms with instruments and supplies tailored to each case.
Monitor aseptic techniques, environmental safety, and adherence to hospital policies.
Support team collaboration, adapt to floating between locations if required.
Comply with all safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols.
Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure smooth surgical operations.
What You Need
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of a Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program
BLS certification from AHA
Certification as a Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN license (within 180 days of graduation)
2+ years of surgical tech experience preferred
Preferred:
Ability to scrub in multiple specialty areas (transplants, open heart, robotics, etc.)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to float among different units and locations
