What You’ll Do
Provide direct, patient-specific critical care by coordinating and implementing nursing care for the assigned unit.
Conduct initial patient assessments, establish priorities, and perform systematic reassessments to identify trends and needed interventions.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in alignment with nursing standards.
Make timely, evidence-based nursing decisions and adjust the plan of care based on patient outcomes.
Document nursing interventions and patient care details accurately and on time.
Participate in patient/significant other education and discharge planning.
Perform point-of-care testing as clinically indicated.
Use effective communication and follow the appropriate chain of command to resolve issues and support team workflow.
What You Need
Required
Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
TNCC
BLS Certification via AHA
ACLS Certification via AHA
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Ability to provide care appropriate to the age/type of patient population served on the unit
Preferred
Experience in critical care settings (exact experience requirements not specified)
