Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care for the specific age group served in the Cath Lab. Ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality care aligned with unit standards. Demonstrates professionalism, respect, and effective communication in interactions with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Responsibilities:
Conduct initial assessments and prioritize care based on patient needs.
Reassess patients regularly to monitor progress.
Develop and implement individualized care plans.
Make clinical decisions based on evaluations and modify plans as needed.
Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
Document interventions and evaluate care effectiveness.
Perform Point of Care testing procedures.
Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise team activities.
Participate in staff orientation and unit development initiatives.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Engage in continuous improvement efforts.
Customer Relations:
Ensure high patient satisfaction and confidentiality.
Communicate effectively to promote teamwork.
Uphold the hospital’s integrity and positive image.
Support organizational goals and service quality improvements.
Other Responsibilities:
Assist with special projects.
Communicate policies clearly.
Maintain flexibility and a positive attitude.
Pursue ongoing professional development.
Follow safety policies and procedures.
Maintain good attendance and communicate absences proactively.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited RN program.
Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license.
BLS Certification from AHA.
Knowledge of patient care for the specific population, patient rights, and effective communication skills.
Work Schedule: 4 Days - 10 Hours per day Work Type: Full Time
