Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist specialized in microbiology to join our travel team. This position involves analyzing specimens related to microbiology, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laboratory policies and federal standards. The successful candidate will perform high-complexity testing, interpret culture results, and assist in diagnosing infectious diseases. The role offers a dynamic work environment where laboratory skills and attention to detail are essential.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
Certification: CLS (NCA), MT (ASCP), or equivalent as a Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist
Must meet CLIA 88 requirements for high-complexity testing
Preferably, one year of microbiology laboratory experience
Excellent communication skills in English
Ability to operate laboratory microbiology equipment
Flexibility to work scheduled hours and potential shifts as needed
Ability to work with potentially infectious materials and adhere to safety protocols
