Job Title: 51101 - Travel: Echocardiogram Technician Registered - DAYS

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiogram Technician (Registered) to join our team on a full-time basis. This position involves performing diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients, ensuring technical proficiency and delivering exceptional patient care. The schedule consists of four 10-hour days from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with start dates as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams.
  • Coordinate activities across hospital departments, including scheduling, patient transport, phone communications, and billing data entry.
  • Assist cardiologists during exams by preparing and measuring M-modes and exchanging relevant information.
  • Manage dictation logistics and timely delivery and pickup of dictations.
  • Respond to patient needs during examinations and report any changes in patient condition to the medical team.
  • Order supplies, maintain cleanliness, and ensure exam rooms are stocked and organized.
  • Log patient and exam information and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in departmental, interdepartmental, and hospital-wide Performance Improvement activities.
  • Provide on-call coverage for emergency echo exams outside regular hours as required.
  • Maintain equipment quality control and coordinate repairs as necessary.
  • Stay current on advances in echocardiography through continuous learning.
  • Assist with other cardiac procedures as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two-year allied health education program or relevant healthcare experience.
  • A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible, or comparable national accreditation.
  • State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and under pressure.
  • Manual dexterity for performing echocardiograms.
  • Preferred: Two years of active echocardiogram experience.

Work Schedule:
  • 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Hourly Pay Rate: $53.60
