Licenses/Certifications: RN License (state or compact), BLS, ACLS
Experience: 1+ year in cardiac or med-surg nursing preferred

What You’ll Do:
Provide routine and complex nursing care to cardiac and med-surg overflow patients
Monitor and manage cardiac drips, including arrhythmias, CHF, PVD, and MI cases
Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitor for side effects and effectiveness
Document patient assessments, treatments, and education provided to patients and families
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Follow hospital policies, and maintain compliance with licensing and safety standards
Use nursing judgment to delegate and coordinate care
What You Need: Required:
RN license in Louisiana or compact state
BLS certification from AHA
ACLS certification from AHA
1+ year experience in a relevant nursing specialty (cardiac/med-surg preferred)
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
Experience with cardiac drips and complex patient care
Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment
About the Assignment:
This opportunity is based at a leading facility in Alexandria, Louisiana, specializing in cardiac and medical-surgical care. The unit handles a wide range of cardiac cases and overflow med-surg patients, offering a dynamic and rewarding environment.
