Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
Hours/week: 36 hours/week

License/Certifications: RN license in state of employment or compact, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
Experience: 1-year experience in emergency or high-acuity nursing preferred

Hourly Rate: $56.95/hour

What You’ll Do:
Provide routine and complex emergency nursing care to high-acuity patients
Assess patient conditions and perform timely interventions
Administer medications and treatments per protocols
Document patient history, symptoms, and care accurately
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care
What You Need:
Current RN license valid in Louisiana or a compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from AHA
Minimum 1 year of relevant emergency or critical care experience
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend
Strong clinical assessment and crisis management skills
About the Assignment:
This position is located at a leading healthcare facility in Alexandria, LA, specializing in high-acuity emergency care. The emergency department handles a variety of cases including strokes, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis, with occasional trauma cases. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 and provides a dynamic environment for experienced nurses seeking to broaden their critical care skills. Security is onsite 24/7, ensuring a safe working environment. Temp-to-perm conversion may be available for the right candidate.
