  • Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
  • Hours/week: 36 hours/week
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • License/Certifications: RN license in state of employment or compact, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
  • Experience: 1-year experience in emergency or high-acuity nursing preferred

Pay & Benefits:
  • Hourly Rate: $56.95/hour

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide routine and complex emergency nursing care to high-acuity patients
  • Assess patient conditions and perform timely interventions
  • Administer medications and treatments per protocols
  • Document patient history, symptoms, and care accurately
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care

What You Need:
  • Current RN license valid in Louisiana or a compact state
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from AHA
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant emergency or critical care experience
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend
  • Strong clinical assessment and crisis management skills

About the Assignment:
This position is located at a leading healthcare facility in Alexandria, LA, specializing in high-acuity emergency care. The emergency department handles a variety of cases including strokes, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis, with occasional trauma cases. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 and provides a dynamic environment for experienced nurses seeking to broaden their critical care skills. Security is onsite 24/7, ensuring a safe working environment. Temp-to-perm conversion may be available for the right candidate.
