What You'll Do:
  • Deliver comprehensive cardiac and telemetry care to adult patients with complex needs.
  • Independently assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care aligned with ANA standards.
  • Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
  • Document patient histories, treatments, and educational sessions accurately.
  • Educate patients and their families, addressing emotional, psychological, and cultural needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Support unit operations by delegating tasks appropriately and managing contingencies with clinical professionalism.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • 1-2 years of nursing experience, including at least 6 months in telemetry.
  • Experience caring for cardiac patients in a telemetry setting.
  • Strong assessment skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and patient education capabilities.
  • Ability to work night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM) with flexibility for an every-other-weekend schedule.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Additional certifications in advanced cardiac life support or specialized nursing areas.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and documentation systems.
  • Previous telemetry or cardiac unit experience beyond minimum requirements.

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience in a related specialty.
  • Prior experience in telemetry units is advantageous.

Other Requirements:
  • Must attend a comprehensive orientation within 30 days of hire.
  • Will participate in preceptorship or residency programs as applicable.
  • Willingness to work nights and on a rotating schedule as specified.
  • Temp-to-perm opportunities available based on performance and staffing needs.
  • Travel and licensure reimbursements applicable, with paid sick leave in accordance with state and federal laws.

  • Hourly pay rate of $58.96.
