What You Will Do:
  • Provide routine and complex cardiac and telemetry nursing care to diverse patient populations.
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient needs according to professional standards.
  • Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness.
  • Document patient histories, symptoms, and care activities accurately.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers, addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to meet unit staffing needs, ensuring optimal nurse-to-patient ratios.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in cardiac or telemetry units.
  • Strong assessment, clinical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Experience with long-range planning and managing complex patient needs.
  • Previous telemetry or stepdown unit experience.
  • Familiarity with nursing standards from ANA and organizational competencies.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • BSN preferred.
  • At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
  • Experience working in cardiac or telemetry units, not stepdown.

Other Requirements:
  • Availability for dayshift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
  • Every other weekend commitment.
  • Potential for temp-to-perm employment.
  • Completion of organizational orientation, including competency validations, within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to provide high-quality, independent nursing care with ongoing professional development.

Compensation:
  • Hourly Pay Rate: $58.96
  • Benefits include competitive pay packages, weekly direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage (W-2), referral bonuses, paid sick leave, and travel-related reimbursements.
