Overview
As a Telemetry RN, you will provide critical cardiac monitoring and comprehensive patient care within a specialized unit. Your expertise will ensure safe, effective treatment and support for patients with cardiac conditions, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This position emphasizes independence, clinical excellence, and the opportunity to develop professionally in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Required Skills
Valid RN license (state of employment or compact)
BLS certification from AHA (American Heart Association) required
ACLS certification from AHA required
At least 1 year of recent experience in a telemetry or cardiac unit preferred
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills
Ability to work independently and delegate appropriately
Excellent communication skills with patients and team members
Nice to Have Skills
Previous travel nursing experience
Additional certifications relevant to cardiac care or telemetry
Experience with electronic health record systems
Bilingual abilities to enhance patient communication
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly preferred
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cardiac or telemetry setting, demonstrating proficiency in monitoring and complex patient care
Other Requirements
Must attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire if newly licensed
Ability to work 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts, with every other weekend commitment
No on-call required, but floating may be necessary based on staffing needs
