Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment? We are seeking experienced Medical / Surgical RNs to join our upcoming night shift team, providing high-quality care to post-surgical and neuro patient populations. In this role, you will practice independently and confidently within your clinical setting, managing routine to complex nursing care plans. You will assess patient needs, administer medications and treatments, monitor outcomes, and educate patients and their families. Your keen awareness of patient conditions and ability to delegate effectively will be vital to ensuring optimal care delivery. As a vital member of our team, you will demonstrate professionalism aligned with ANA standards and engage in continuous development to handle diverse clinical situations. Flexibility to float to different units and potential weekend shifts will be required based on staffing needs.
Required Skills:
Active RN License in the state of employment or a compact license
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
At least 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred
Experience with EPIC electronic health records is advantageous
Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with neuro or post-surgical patient populations
Knowledge of hospital protocols and procedures
Previous travel or temporary agency experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience in a hospital setting
Other Requirements:
Availability to work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Willingness to float to different units as needed
No on-call requirement
Travel or reimbursement considerations applicable as per policy
Ability to adapt to varying patient ratios (5:1-6:1 depending on staffing)
