Overview
As a Travel RN in our Critical Care unit, you will be an essential member of a specialized healthcare team, delivering expert care to patients experiencing complex conditions such as DKA, Acute Respiratory Failure, MIs, CABGs, and Ventilator management. This role offers a unique chance to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing your critical care skills while enjoying the flexibility and adventure of travel nursing. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes and support our mission to deliver high-quality healthcare.
Required Skills
Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license
BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Minimum 1 year of recent critical care nursing experience (or new graduates with strong skills)
Proven ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care independently
Strong documentation and medication administration skills
Ability to handle complex emotional, psychological, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
Effective delegation and collaboration with care team members
Nice to Have Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Previous travel nursing experience in ICU settings
Additional certifications such as CCRN or specialty-specific credentials
Experience with ventilator management and cardiac monitoring
Preferred Education and Experience
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
At least 1 year of recent ICU or critical care experience, ideally in a mixed cardiac/medical ICU setting
Other Requirements
Start date: April 13, 2026
Work schedule: 7 AM – 7 PM, full-time assignment
Hourly pay rate: $56.95
Every other weekend schedule; no on-call duties and no floating required
Nurse-patient ratio: 2:1 for ICU patients, 4:1 for IMCU patients
Commitment to ongoing competency validation and participation in new nurse orientation within 30 days of start
Travel, licensure, certification, and associated reimbursements as applicable
