We are seeking a highly qualified Travel RN specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to provide exceptional surgical care in a fast-paced hospital environment. In this critical role, you will deliver individualized nursing care to patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality care throughout their surgical journey. Your expertise will contribute to positive patient outcomes while working alongside a dedicated healthcare team committed to excellence.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 5 years surgical scrub experience, with at least 1 recent year in a CVOR setting.
Current Louisiana RN license.
BLS certification from AHA.
ACLS certification from AHA.
Excellent clinical judgment and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with a strong sense of accountability.
Strong communication skills for effective multidisciplinary collaboration.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with complex cardiac procedures beyond standard CVOR cases.
Prior travel or agency RN experience.
Knowledge of hospital workflows and electronic medical records systems.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Active RN license with at least 5 years of perioperative nursing experience.
Recent experience in a surgical setting, specifically CVOR.
Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) is a plus but not mandatory.
Other Requirements:
Availability for weekend shifts and on-call duties.
Ability to float within the OR department as needed.
No floating outside of the OR environment.
Work schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with flexibility to work past due to case requirements.
Travel reimbursements, licensure, certification, and other applicable reimbursements will be provided.
