Required Skills:
Valid pharmacy state licensure
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS Pharmacy degree
Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS required
PALS certification for pediatric practice preferred
Experience in hospital or clinical settings is advantageous
Ability to interpret and transcribe medication orders accurately
Strong knowledge of drug preparation, dispensing, and pharmacy operations
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to supervise and coordinate with pharmacy support staff
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with medication reconciliation and clinical interventions
Familiarity with antimicrobial stewardship and opioid management programs
Proficiency in pharmacokinetics and renal dosing
Prior participation in interdisciplinary rounds and quality improvement activities
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred but not mandatory
Other Requirements:
Availability for various 8-hour shifts, starting as early as 6:00 AM and ending as late as 11:00 PM
Flexibility to work day shifts with varying start/end times
Willingness to participate in quality assurance, clinical interventions, and stewardship activities
Ability to obtain and maintain necessary certifications within required timeframes
Travel reimbursements applicable when needed
The hourly pay rate for this position is $80.40, with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, paid sick leave in accordance with laws, licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements.
