Required Skills:
Current RN license (TX or compact license)
BLS certification (AHA)
Ability to independently assess, diagnose, and plan patient care
Proficiency in medication administration and monitoring
Strong documentation skills
Excellent communication and cultural competence
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a relevant setting preferred
Nice to Have Skills:
ACLS certification
Experience in telemetry or MedSurg units
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
Ability to handle complex patient situations and emergencies
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
At least 1 year of dedicated experience in MedSurg or Telemetry nursing
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM)
Every other weekend commitment
On-call availability, limited to once every 2 weeks
Successful completion of onboarding, competency validation, and orientation programs
Travel within assigned locations
This position offers competitive pay at $46.90/hour, with a 12-hour night shift schedule, starting on August 12, 2025. No call requirement beyond on-call duties during low census periods, ensuring a balanced work-life experience.
