Key Responsibilities and Highlights:
Deliver comprehensive, independent nursing care in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum units, adhering to recognized standards and protocols.
Monitor patient status, administer medications, conduct assessments, and document all care activities precisely.
Educate patients and families, addressing their emotional, social, and cultural needs with sensitivity and professionalism.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, delegating tasks appropriately to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain compliance with all relevant certifications and licensing requirements to uphold high standards of care.
Required Skills:
Valid RN license in Texas or a valid multi-state compact license.
Current certifications including BLS, NRP, and ACLS (American Heart Association).
Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or Intermediate FHM from AWHONN or NCC.
STABLE certification from an approved course provider.
At least 1 year of recent experience in perinatal nursing, preferably in a labor & delivery or postpartum setting.
Strong assessment, communication, and multitasking skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM).
Prior participation in a Perinatal RN residency or recent practice in a similar clinical environment.
Additional certifications or training related to maternal and neonatal care.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience within labor, delivery, or postpartum care.
Other Requirements:
Ability to work nights, with a shift schedule of 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM for 12-hour shifts.
Willingness to travel and adapt to different hospital environments.
Successful completion of all onboarding, orientation, and competency validation processes upon hire.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Pay Rate: $58.29
Weekly pay via direct deposit.
