License/Certs: Current RN license in TX or compact, BLS, ACLS
Experience: 1+ year of critical care preferred, knowledge of post-cardiothoracic recovery, high-acuity patient management necessary

Pay Rate: $50.25/hour + industry-standard weekly pay via direct deposit

What You’ll Do:
Provide expert nursing care for high-acuity and post-cardiothoracic surgery patients, including those with multiple comorbidities and drips.
Manage complex cases involving devices like Impella, Balloon Pump, Artic Sun, and CRRT.
Monitor, administer, and evaluate treatments such as medications, therapies, and invasive procedures.
Document patient histories, symptoms, and care activities accurately.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and families on care procedures and recovery expectations.
Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
What You Need:
Required:
Current RN license in Texas or a recognized compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
Minimum 1 year of critical care experience (or new graduate with appropriate skills)
Experience with post-cardiothoracic surgery recovery and high-acuity patients preferred
Preferred:
Previous Epic EHR experience
Knowledge of advanced cardiac devices and therapies
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

This critical care RN role is based in a busy, high-acuity unit within a leading healthcare facility in Corpus Christi, TX. The unit specializes in post-surgical recovery, cardiac monitors, and managing complex patient cases. You will operate independently but with the support of a dedicated team committed to patient safety and quality outcomes.
