Hourly Pay Rate: $67.00

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Travel Radiation Therapist to administer radiation therapy treatments and participate in simulation procedures. This position requires a professional committed to safety, accuracy, and patient comfort, working within a collaborative environment. You will be responsible for ensuring treatments align with physician prescriptions, assisting in treatment planning, and maintaining high standards of patient care across various healthcare facilities. Your role is vital in providing effective cancer treatment and improving patient outcomes.

Required Skills:
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology
  • Current ARRT (T) registration or eligibility, with completion within the first year of employment
  • Valid Medical Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Texas Medical Board or applicable state licensing authority
  • BLS certification
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and record keeping
  • Ability to assess patient needs and explain procedures clearly
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and equipment operation

Nice to Have Skills:
  • One year of experience within a hospital or treatment center environment
  • Experience with treatment planning, tumor localization, and dosimetry
  • Previous exposure to diverse care settings or travel assignments
  • Additional certifications related to radiation therapy or patient care

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited School of Radiation Therapy Technology
  • Minimum of one year of professional experience in radiation therapy, though new graduates will be considered if they meet licensure requirements

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various healthcare facilities as needed
  • Maintain current licensure, registration, and certifications throughout employment
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
