Required Skills:
Completion of an accredited perfusionist training program.
State licensure as a Perfusionist in Texas.
BLS certification (American Heart Association).
Proficiency in operating cardiopulmonary bypass machines, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Cell Saver, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation systems.
Knowledge of anticoagulation management, hemodynamic monitoring, and surgical support techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in high-stakes environments and adapt quickly to different clinical settings.
Nice to Have Skills:
Board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
Prior experience in open-heart surgery, vascular, or orthopedic procedures.
Familiarity with other sterile and cardiovascular equipment.
Multilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Perfusion Technology or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
Experience working in hospital or surgical center settings.
Other Requirements:
Availability to travel and work full-time Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Ability to arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled surgeries for setup.
Willingness to perform additional duties as needed in dynamic environments.
Valid licensure, certifications, and adherence to safety and infection control standards.
Ability to handle on-call responsibilities if required.
