What You’ll Do:
Dispense and prepare pharmaceuticals, including sterile and non-sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition.
Interpret drug orders and transcribe into electronic medical records with accuracy.
Issue controlled substances and maintain compliance with regulations.
Monitor patient drug therapies, looking out for contraindications and interactions.
Provide clinical pharmacokinetic dosing and renal dosing support.
Assist with pharmacokinetics consult service and medication management.
Supervise pharmacy support personnel, including pharmacy technicians.
Collaborate with healthcare team members on medication therapies and patient care plans.
Participate in medication use review activities and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure safe handling of hazardous substances and maintain proper documentation.
What You Need:
Valid pharmacist license in Texas
BLS or ACLS certification (per hospital requirement)
PALS certification (preferred, especially for neonatal care)
Hospital pharmacy experience is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics, medication safety, and pharmacy operations
