Required Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; medical terminology knowledge preferred
Proficiency in word processing and computer skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Strong organizational skills with multitasking capabilities
Ability to operate a 10-key calculator by touch and type at 40 wpm preferred
Experience with data entry; familiarity with Microsoft Teams highly preferred
Knowledge of medical records documentation and writing skills
Ability to verify and update medical records accurately
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in a medical office setting
Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants
Familiarity with ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS coding, and managed care contracts
Current CPR certification
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferably, at least one year of medical records or related healthcare experience
Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program advantageous
Other Requirements:
Availability to work a full-time schedule: 5 days, 8-hour shifts (Shift: 08:00-17:00), totaling 9 hours
Willingness to adhere to HIPAA and maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to transfer data electronically and handle paper files when needed
Must pass background checks and comply with all relevant healthcare regulations
