Join Our Team as a Temp Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) in Long-Term Care Opportunities in Marshfield, MO

What You’ll Do:
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized plans of care in accordance with regulatory and clinical standards.
Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to deliver effective clinical interventions.
Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed, and document all care accurately in electronic health records.
Evaluate treatment outcomes to inform ongoing care and referrals.
Provide counseling and education to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members regarding speech and swallowing disorders.
Collaborate regularly with supervisors and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries following all regulations.
Supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists when applicable.
Adhere strictly to ASHA and state licensure standards, codes of conduct, and professional ethics.
Required Skills:
Current ASHA certification and state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Proven experience in assessing and treating communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience working in long-term care facilities.
Bilingual abilities or additional language skills.
Experience supervising students or CFYs.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
At least 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to start on 01/26/2026.
Willingness to support ongoing trainings and team meetings.
Ability to obtain any necessary DME or supplies.
Flexibility to work daytime hours in the long-term care environment.
