What You'll Do:
  • Provide expert clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients with a focus on compassionate, patient-first approach
  • Assist in cardiac surgeries, including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting
  • Manage ICU and surgical patient care, including rounding and evaluations in CVICU, floor, and clinics
  • Participate in two full-day clinics weekly, with flexibility for additional patient consults
  • Rotate through operating room coverage Monday-Friday
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, and healthcare professionals in a team environment
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and labs
  • Develop and implement care plans, managing medication prescriptions in compliance with policies
  • Perform bedside procedures as needed
  • Document all care accurately and timely
  • Maintain continuing medical education and adapt to dynamic clinical environment
  • Demonstrate clinical judgment and function independently under supervision

What You Need:
  • Valid Colorado Nurse Practitioner license and current certifications
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU management
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and team collaboration abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
