  • Shift: 10-hour shifts
  • Hours/Week: Approx. 40 hours of physician coverage, plus 40 hours of midlevel coverage
  • Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
  • License/Certs: ABEM board eligible or certified required
  • Experience: Prior experience in Level 2 trauma centers preferred, open to recent graduates

What You’ll Do
  • Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a busy Level 2 trauma center.
  • Manage a diverse patient population, including critical care and unstable patients.
  • Perform medical clearances for psychiatric patients, ensuring appropriate care and disposition.
  • Collaborate with trauma surgeons, hospitalists, and specialty teams for comprehensive patient management.
  • Document efficiently using Cerner FirstNet EMR and Dragon Dictation to optimize workflow.
  • Participate in coverage of a high-volume emergency department with minimal boarding issues.
  • Support hospital operations including admissions, transfers, and consults in a fast-paced setting.
What You Need
  • Required:
    • ABEM certification or eligibility
    • Texas medical license or ability to obtain one
    • Experience in emergency medicine, preferably in trauma centers
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with Cerner EMR and Dragon Dictation
    • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
    • Willingness to relocate and commit long-term for partnership potential
