Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist Bel Air, MD
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled OB Hospitalist to join our team on a temporary basis in Bel Air, MD. This critical role offers an exceptional opportunity to provide quality obstetric care, support maternal health, and ensure positive outcomes for patients in a dynamic hospital setting. Required Skills:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Active Maryland medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Proven experience in obstetric inpatient care, including labor and delivery management.
Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with high-risk obstetrics or neonatal care.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Ability to perform emergency procedures such as cesarean sections.
BLS, ACLS certifications.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree from an accredited institution.
At least 2 years of recent hospital-based obstetrics experience.
Previous locum or temporary provider experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Other Requirements:
Availability to start on or around December 31, 2025.
Willingness to comply with hospital policies and state/federal healthcare regulations.
Compensation is $195 per hour.
Willingness to travel, with associated reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and related expenses.
