As a key member of our team, you will perform outpatient and inpatient scopes, including ERCP procedures, contributing to a dynamic hospital environment dedicated to excellence in patient care.
Required Skills:
Medical degree (MD or DO) with a valid and unrestricted medical license in Michigan.
Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
Proven expertise in endoscopy, including ERCP procedures.
Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills for coordinated patient care.
Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team setting.
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience in a hospital-based gastroenterology practice.
Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records system.
Experience managing outpatient and inpatient scopes daily.
Enhanced proficiency in complex endoscopic procedures.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 2 years of post-residency or post-fellowship Gastroenterology experience.
Prior locum or hospital-based experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
Availability for scheduled shifts between August 14, 2025, and November 6, 2025, with specific open dates.
ERCP certification is mandatory.
Capable of handling 18 outpatient and 20 inpatient scopes per day.
Support staff includes physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on-site.
Must use DocTime for clocking in/out; no paper timesheets.
Reimbursements are limited to mileage, fuel, and hotel costs capped at $150.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to policy; no reimbursements for lodging booked through third-party websites or taxes.
Must be willing to work day shifts (7 am–4:30 pm) with no night or weekend call.
