As an ER Nurse with us, you'll be instrumental in managing a diverse caseload in a busy emergency setting, handling up to 200 patient visits per month. You'll work scheduled shifts from 7 am to 7 pm on a blocked schedule Tuesday through Thursday, with 12-hour shifts designed to optimize patient coverage and team collaboration. This role requires adaptability, proficiency with Cerner charting, and experience with critical access hospital operations.

Required Skills:

• Valid RN license and current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Strong experience with Cerner electronic health records
• Proven ability to efficiently handle high patient volumes in emergency settings
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Critical Access experience preferred
• Previous travel nurse experience highly desirable

Nice to Have Skills:

• TNCC certification
• Experience taking Charge nurse responsibilities
• Flexibility in handling both ER and Med/Surg patient care
• Comfortable working with diverse patient demographics

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of ER and Med/Surg experience in critical access settings
• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus
• Current licensure in good standing

Other Requirements:

• Must be comfortable working in a busy, high-volume ER environment
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 7 am to 7 pm
• Willingness to commit to the scheduled blocked days
• Travel reimbursement and certification reimbursements provided when applicable

Position Overview:
Hodgeman County Health Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiologic Technologist with CT specialization for a permanent role in a community-focused, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a supportive environment, providing diagnostic imaging services across various departments including Radiology, Emergency Room, and Surgery Suite. The successful candidate will perform radiographic and CT procedures with proficiency and compassion, ensuring high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and computed tomography (CT) procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
• Operate portable imaging equipment in emergency and surgical settings to support urgent patient needs.
• Provide compassionate patient care, including patient education, positioning, and support to ensure comfort and safety.
• Accurately document procedures, maintain detailed records, and ensure proper image quality for diagnosis.
• Support patient communication by providing clear explanations, addressing language barriers, and maintaining professionalism.
• Maintain adherence to confidentiality and privacy policies regarding patient records.
• Participate in on-call rotations including nights and weekends to ensure 24/7 imaging support.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited 2-year Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
• State of Kansas certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Preferably, at least one year of radiologic/CT experience.
• Ability to work independently with a high level of proficiency and professionalism.
• Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity for diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual Salary: $58,240 – $74,880 (based on a 40-hour work week)
• Hourly Rate: $28 – $36 (negotiable)
• Sign-On Bonus: $7,000
