Your Role and Responsibilities:
As an Agency RN in the Float Pool, you will serve as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary care team, ensuring safe, individualized, and high-quality patient care across various acute care units. You will utilize evidence-based practices, demonstrate critical thinking, and maintain the highest standards aligned with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
Key duties include:
Performing comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based clinical standards.
Delivering relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, respecting cultural and individual needs.
Collaborating effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, utilizing tools such as bedside reports and interdisciplinary rounds.
Participating in quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and shared governance to promote safe, effective outcomes.
Demonstrating professionalism through ongoing competency assessments and mentoring newer staff or students.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Current RN license in Georgia or multi-state compact license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS, NIHSS required
Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Critical thinking and decision-making capabilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond decisively to emergencies
Familiarity with healthcare technology and record-keeping
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in critical care or acute care settings
Previous float pool or coverage experience
Additional certifications relevant to emergency or advanced practice nursing
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Less than 1 year of clinical experience, with an emphasis on recent graduate engagement
Other Requirements:
Night shift availability (7:45 PM – 6:15 AM)
Ability to work every other weekend, and participate in 2 major and 2 minor holidays
Valid RN license and current certifications at time of hire
