Are you a dedicated Interventional Radiologist seeking a flexible, impactful role that allows you to make a difference while maintaining your expertise? We are seeking an experienced Physician to serve in an on-call capacity, providing critical radiological services through a one-year assignment with potential extension. This role offers a unique opportunity to utilize your clinical skills in a dynamic healthcare environment, responding promptly to patient needs and supporting ongoing quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the on-call Physician in Interventional Radiology, carrying the pager and responding to staff inquiries and patient needs.
Provide supervision of trainees and support hospital staff during on-call rotations.
Respond within 30 minutes to hospital calls requiring your expertise.
Be available to come to the hospital to see patients during scheduled times, with shifts scheduled one month in advance.
Cover weekend or weekday on-call periods, typically 3-4 weeks annually for vacation coverage.
Required Skills:
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) with completed fellowship or dedicated residency in interventional radiology.
Board-certified by the American Board of Radiologists.
Minimum of one year of active practice in Interventional Radiology within the last three years.
Current, unrestricted medical license in good standing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Ability to respond promptly and provide high-quality patient care.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with hospital-based procedure management and team coordination.
Prior experience in a similar on-call or emergency radiology setting.
Additional certifications in radiology or related fields.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school.
Fellowship or residency completed in Interventional Radiology.
A minimum of one year of practice as a full-time Physician in Interventional Radiology within the past three years.
Other Requirements:
Credentialing and security clearance may require 2-3 months; timely application is essential.
Valid license to practice medicine in your state, with current certifications.
Willingness to be on-call during scheduled weekends or weekdays, with specific schedules provided one month in advance.
Ability to respond quickly and work effectively under pressure.
