VHS is looking for an OB/GYN Hospitalist in San Antonio, TX!
Program Details
12 or 24 Hour Shifts: 24
Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage: Yes
Hospitalists Required to Perform Circumcisions: No
Hospitalists Needed for First Assist: Yes
First Assist Available to the Hospitalists: Yes
Hospitalists to Backup Midwives: No
Hospitalists to Backup Family Practice: Occasional assistance, FP w/ Ob.
Backup Available to the Hospitalists: Yes (OB/GYN ED Call)
Hospital Details
NICU Level: IV (60 beds)
Maternal Designation: level 2
Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.): 108
Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists (monthly): 10-15
Estimated Daily Patient Encounters for Hospitalists (not including deliveries): 6-8/shift (includes OBED)
MFM onsite? Yes
Residency Program & Type? FPOB
In-house Anesthesia? Yes
Other specifics: Affiliation with Baylor College of Medicine. Gold-level Beacon Award NICU staff. Cross-credentialed typically with CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Westover Hills hospital.
