Perm - Physician – Gastroenterology – Griffin, GA
United Digestive's Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates is seeking a dedicated and experienced Gastroenterologist to join our expanding team serving Griffin and Locust Grove, Georgia. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered digestive healthcare within a collaborative and innovative practice environment.
Position Overview:
Location: Griffin and Locust Grove Medical Offices, within easy access to Peachtree City, Fayetteville, McDonough, and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with a manageable patient volume managing approximately 15–18 patients daily.
Hospital Call: 1:4 single hospital call schedule at Wellstar Spalding.
Team Composition: Join a team of 3 MD/DO physicians and 4 advanced practice providers (APPs).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive digestive healthcare services, including colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy (EGD), ERCP, EUS, Enteroscopy, Hemorrhoid Banding, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, and other procedures such as TIF, Video Capsule Endoscopy, and infusion therapy.
Offer outpatient services, including telehealth consultations and nutrition counseling.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans.
Maintain high standards of patient care, efficiency, and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and contribute to practice growth and development.
Manage clinical documentation accurately and efficiently using electronic health records systems.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
Open to candidates who were previously board-certified and need to re-certify (case-by-case basis).
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; through 2025, we welcome new graduates.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Georgia medical license.
J1 and H1B visa candidates are encouraged, with sponsorship provided by United Digestive.
