Occupational Therapist – Acute Care (Days) – Salina, KS
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our acute care team in Salina, Kansas. The incumbent will evaluate patients' functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapy programs aimed at optimizing patients' independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning in the acute care setting.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with physicians' orders and best practices in occupational therapy.
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals.
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures to promote ongoing recovery.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, documentation requirements, and hospital policies.
Qualifications:
Valid Certified Occupational Therapist (OTR) license for the state of Kansas.
Current CPR and BLS certifications are mandatory.
Previous experience in an acute care or hospital setting is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
Commitment to maintaining professional licensure and staying current with the latest advancements in occupational therapy.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate ranging from $36.60 to $45.00, commensurate with experience and education.
Relocation allowance up to $5,000 to assist with transition.
