VHS is looking for an OB/GYN Hospitalist for San Antonio, TX! Program Details
Program Start Date: August 2021
12 or 24 Hour Shifts: 24
Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage: Yes
Hospitalists Required to Perform Circumcisions: No
Hospitalists Needed for First Assist: Yes
First Assist Available to the Hospitalists: Yes
Hospitalists to work with/supervise Midwives: Yes
Hospitalists to Backup Family Practice: No
Backup Available to the Hospitalists: Yes (OB/GYN ED Call)

NICU Level: II (8 beds)
Total Monthly Hospital Deliveries: 58
Estimated Monthly Hospitalist Deliveries: 13
Estimated Daily Hospitalist Patient Encounters:(not including deliveries) 5
MFM onsite: No, consults available.

In-house Anesthesia: Yes
EMR: Cerner
Other Specifics: Part of a new expansion. Access to a NICU Level IV at sister facilities. NRP Cert required. OBED for triage. Pts <34 weeks transferred out to sister
facilities. Experienced nursing staff.
