Job Title: Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine NV
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to fill a locum position in General Medicine NV. In this pivotal role, you will perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments independently within your own office. This ongoing PRN assignment offers flexible scheduling, including half-day or full-day shifts, enabling you to maintain work-life balance while contributing to our mission to support veterans. Your expertise will help ensure veterans receive accurate assessments, contributing significantly to their healthcare benefits.
Required Skills:
Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in Nevada
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in internal medicine or family medicine
Strong interviewing and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in a HIPAA-compliant environment
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams or military/veteran healthcare
Familiarity with medical documentation and report writing
Certification in specific medical specialties (e.g., orthopedic or family medicine)
Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree in Nursing or higher-level qualification as a Nurse Practitioner
Clinical experience in general medicine, orthopedics, or with veteran populations
Experience working with government or military healthcare programs
Other Requirements:
Own a private office space within the specified radius of the listed locations
Willingness to travel locally—travel expenses included in compensation rates
Be prepared for quick credentialing and onboarding process
Ability to complete administrative follow-up work (e.g., reports, addendums) within assigned shifts
Hourly Pay Rate: $600 for half-day (4 hours or less); $1200 for full-day (5 hours or more)
