Join Our Team as a Locum OB Hospitalist in Worcester, MA – Make an Impact When It Matters Most
Are you a dedicated OB Hospitalist looking for a rewarding opportunity to provide exceptional care in a dynamic hospital setting? We are seeking passionate physicians to fill a temporary locum position, delivering critical obstetric and gynecological services in Worcester, MA. This role offers the chance to work with a collaborative team committed to excellence in maternal and fetal health, ensuring high-quality outcomes for patients in need.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide OB hospitalist coverage, including emergency gynecological cases and obstetric inpatient care
Assist with first assist procedures in the level 2 NICU, offering vital support during complex deliveries
Serve as backup to midwives, ensuring seamless patient care coordination
Collaborate with highly skilled MFM specialists, with courtesy privileges on-site 4 to 5 days a week
Utilize EMR systems such as PBAR and Cerner to document and manage patient information efficiently
Required Skills:
Medical Degree (MD or DO) with valid licensure in Massachusetts
Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Proven experience in obstetric and gynecological emergency care
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous experience in Level 2 NICU or high-acuity obstetric settings
Familiarity with EMR systems like PBAR and Cerner
Additional certifications in neonatal or maternal care
Preferred Education and Experience:
Completion of residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
At least 2 years of hospitalist or inpatient OB practice experience
Active Massachusetts medical license or eligibility to obtain one
Other Requirements:
Commitment to adhering to hospital policies, safety protocols, and applicable federal, state, and local laws
Availability to start on 12/31/2025, with flexibility as needed
Travel and licensure-related reimbursements when applicable
