Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist Merced, CA
Join our esteemed medical team as an OB Hospitalist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional maternal care in Merced, CA. What You'll Do:
As an OB Hospitalist, you'll manage OB Triage, deliveries, emergency gynecological cases, and consults within a supportive hospital environment. You can expect to handle approximately 1-4 deliveries daily, with access to Level II NICU services. Your expertise will ensure safe, quality care for mothers and newborns, working seamlessly within a dedicated team committed to excellence.
Required Skills:
Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in California
Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Family Medicine with obstetrics training
Proven experience in obstetric care, including deliveries and emergency GYN procedures
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working in hospitalist or similarly fast-paced OB settings
Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
NICU-level II experience
BLS and NRP certifications
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Minimum of 2 years of OB hospitalist experience or relevant clinical practice
Other Requirements:
EMR: EPIC proficiency or willingness to train
Availability to start on 12/31/2025
Ability to work flexible hours as needed for hospital coverage
Must maintain all necessary licensure and certifications, including CME requirements
Willingness to travel for credentialing or training purposes if applicable
