Key Responsibilities:
Conduct interview-based Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments
Perform physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
Complete exams efficiently adhering to established protocols
Prepare and submit detailed reports and addendums in a timely manner
Maintain compliance with all relevant guidelines and confidentiality standards
Required Skills:
Medical degree (MD or DO) with active license in Texas or capable of practicing in the state
Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
Experience with compensation and pension examinations preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Attention to detail and proficient documentation skills
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience working with veterans or in government contract settings
Certification in relevant medical specialties
Familiarity with VA or similar assessment protocols
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree from an accredited institution
At least one year of clinical or assessment experience
Previous work in general medicine or veteran assessments is advantageous
Other Requirements:
Ability to perform exams independently using provided resources
Local candidates only; travel included in rates
Capacity to work on a PRN basis, with flexibility for half-day or full-day shifts
Willingness to complete required training and administrative follow-up
No prescribing or treatment involved; purely assessment-based roles
