VHS is actively recruiting experienced providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Missouri. Required Skills:
MD or DO degree with active medical license in Missouri
Proven experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related fields with a focus on general medicine
Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform non-treatment, interview-based exams efficiently
Credentialed or prepared to undergo quick credentialing and onboarding
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience with Compensation and Pension (C&P) examinations
Familiarity with military or veteran healthcare systems
Certification in medical assessments or related specializations
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Active state medical license in Missouri
At least 1-2 years of clinical practice experience, particularly in general medicine or rehabilitation assessments
Prior experience conducting or participating in C&P exams is a plus
Other Requirements:
Own a suitable office location within a 50-mile radius of assigned sites
Willing to work on a PRN, ongoing basis, including half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts
No prescribing or treatment responsibilities; focus solely on interview-based assessments and physical exams
Reliable internet access for documentation and follow-up administrative work
Ability to travel locally within designated Missouri areas
