Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments primarily through interviews, with some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
Perform one-time non-treatment exams with no prescribing or treatment responsibilities.
Complete exams efficiently within designated time frames, ensuring accurate report submission and adherence to protocols.
Work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day or full-day shifts, providing flexible scheduling to fit your availability.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal administrative follow-up required beyond exam completion.
Required Skills:
Proven experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine, particularly with compensation and pension assessments.
Strong interview and physical assessment skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with efficient time management.
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience with VA or veteran-related assessments.
Familiarity with veterans’ health policies or related certification.
Comfort with rapid credentialing and onboarding processes.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree (MD or DO).
Current state medical licensure in Arizona.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice in general medicine or related specialties.
Experience with compensation and pension evaluations is highly desirable.
Other Requirements:
Candidates should reside within specific radii of designated locations or have their own office facilities.
Willingness to work in multiple Arizona locations, including Flagstaff, Sierra Vista, Tuba City/Chinle, Nogales, Safford, and Payson.
Ability to commit to ongoing assignments starting March 6, 2026.
Valid medical certifications and licensure.
No travel reimbursements outside of the rate structure; certifications or portal training costs are not reimbursed prior to start.
