Overview
We are seeking skilled Nurse Practitioners to fill locum roles in Indiana starting March 6, 2026. In this position, you will perform comprehensive general medicine assessments, including interview-based evaluations and physical exams, primarily focusing on Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals seeking flexible scheduling with the ability to impact veterans' health outcomes positively. Required Skills
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Indiana
Proven experience in general medicine or related fields such as family or internal medicine
Ability to perform interview-based assessments and basic physical exam procedures
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of care
Nice to Have Skills
Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or military-related health assessments
Certification in advanced physical assessment techniques
Familiarity with veteran healthcare processes and documentation
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Preferred Education and Experience
Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in general medicine or related specialties
Prior locum or temporary healthcare positioning is advantageous but not mandatory
Other Requirements
Own office space within Indiana or willing to work at designated facilities (if applicable)
Ability to travel locally within Indiana (travel expenses covered)
Must comply with all state and federal licensure and certification requirements
No prescribing or treatment responsibilities required
Availability to work flexible hours, including half-day (4 hours) and full-day shifts (up to 8 hours)
Successful completion of all required credentialing and onboarding processes
