We are looking for committed General Medicine Provider to support Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a reputable government contractor, in delivering vital health assessments and exams. In this role, you will conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans across various locations. You will perform interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, such as range of motion and muscle strength testing. There is no prescribing or treatment involved, making this position ideal for practitioners focused on evaluation and assessment. The work is on a PRN basis, with options to pick up either half-day or full-day shifts, providing excellent flexibility to fit your schedule. Minimal credentialing and onboarding are required to start quickly.
Required Skills:
Active and valid Nurse Practitioner license.
Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields.
Strong clinical assessment and interview skills.
Ability to perform physical assessments (range of motion, muscle testing).
Excellent documentation and report submission skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with compensation and pension examinations.
Prior experience in veteran healthcare services.
Familiarity with medical documentation and certification processes.
Certifications such as DMA are not required but can enhance candidacy.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing.
At least 1-3 years of clinical experience in general, internal, or family medicine.
Experience in assessments or evaluations is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
Must own and operate a suitable office space (Uvalde or Ft. Davis, TX locations preferred).
Local candidates only, with travel included in rate structure.
Availability to perform 4-hour or 8-hour shifts as scheduled.
Ability to complete administrative follow-up work within the same day rate, no extra compensation.
Willingness to complete required training and initial exams.
