We are seeking motivated and qualified General Medicine Providers to join our team as locum professionals. This role offers the opportunity to deliver vital health assessments and examinations across multiple locations, contributing directly to the well-being of our nation's veterans while enjoying competitive compensation and flexible working arrangements.
In this position, you will perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, primarily through interview-based interactions with minimal physical assessment. No prescribing or treatment is required. This opportunity is ideal for experienced healthcare providers seeking a rewarding, flexible, PRN engagement that makes a meaningful difference.
Required Skills:
Current Nurse Practitioner license in Arizona
Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
Experience with compensation and pension evaluations preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform interview-based assessments efficiently
Comfort with documentation and report submission
Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience in veteran health assessments or military medicine
Familiarity with VA or government contractor procedures
Additional certifications in related medical fields
Ability to work independently across various locations
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner
Prior experience conducting C&P exams or similar assessments is advantageous
Other Requirements:
Must reside within designated radius of assigned locations or have own compliant office space
Availability for PRN shifts, including half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours or more)
Ability to work days on a PRN basis with ongoing assignments
Travel expenses covered when working at VES locations
Valid credentials and ability to credential promptly
Must comply with all applicable state, federal, and local laws regarding licensure and practice
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Pay Rate: $402.00
Flat rates for exams:
Half-day (up to 4 hours): $600
Full-day (5 hours or more): $1,200
One-time bonus of $650 upon completing required training and first exams
Weekly pay via direct deposit
