VHS is looking for a qualified Physician - Hospitalist.

Description: ASAP START- Providers who can start within the next 4-6 weeks only please!
1-2 contract physicians needed for geriatric outpatient continuity care at Ron Robinson Senior Care Center located at San Mateo Medical Center.
• Schedule: 4 days per week 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Patient Volume: ~14 per day. 100 Medical/Medicaid combined population. High need/high complexity. Complex language/many languages- diverse population. Lots of support staff that other FQHCs RNs other clinicians. Many of them are in their 80s/90s. Geriatrics needs to be a focus/serious interest.
• Requirements: BC in Internal Medicine Geriatric Board a plus but not required
• Contract: 3 months with an option to extend goal is to bridge coverage while recruiting permanent hires
This clinic exclusively serves patients 60 and is part of an integrated FQHC system committed to optimizing senior care.

o Yes will take Family Practice for the right provider
• Can you do emergency privileges? Yes they can do emergency privs
• Will you take Board Eligible in place of BC? Will consider Board Eligible depends on the candidate. Doesn’t want ‘someone out of practice’ who is board eligible. Last resort.
• Experience required? MUST HAVE EPIC. 2 years. No hospital experience required.
• Interview process: Will be a Zoom Interview with the Medical Directors. One interview. They move quickly.
• Please discuss with your provider before submitting: They are a public health FQHC facility. This is not a teaching facility. Please confirm they are okay with this setting and this patient population before submitting.
• Please submit a supervisory reference with your submission. They will only call post-interview prior to offering.
