Job Description

Job Title: Sales Representative 
Department: Sleep and Respiratory Services 
Reports to: Director of Sales and Territory Manager 
FSLA Status: Salary Exempt/Full-Time 

 

Job Summary: 

The Sales Representative for Sleep and Respiratory Services is a quota driven, field position that will call on 
Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Sleep Facilities, Clinics, Cardiologists, ENTs etc., to promote one of the nation’s 
leading Home Sleep Testing companies. 


 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position. 
  •  Call on Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Sleep Facilities, Clinics, Cardiologists, ENTs etc., to promote one of the nation’s leading Home Sleep Testing companies 
  •  Works with office staff to ensure prompt and accurate billing and documentation of services, including providing adequate information to satisfy third-party payor guidelines for coverage 
  •  Exhibits effective written and verbal communication skills. Adheres to cost-containment policies and procedures 
  •  Works with clinical, managerial and sales staff to promote and market oxygen equipment (POC/SOC), home sleep testing and treatment (PAP Therapy) services to all referral sources 
  •  Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made 
  •  Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals 
  •  Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff 
  •  Identify sales prospects and contact these, and other contacts as assigned 
  •  Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts 
  •  Participate in marketing events, such as seminars and trade shows. 
  •  Coordinate with company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales 
  •  Other duties/projects as assigned 
  •  Monthly meeting with Territory Manager and Sales Director on progress, strategy, goals, etc. 
  •  Monthly call Plan to be presented to Territory Manager for review and approval each month 
  •  Must be able to consistently meet minimum quota (50 PAP uploads per month) 
  •  Other responsibilities and projects as assigned 

 

   Skills/Abilities:  
  •  Reliable transportation 
  •  Technical Abilities strongly preferred 
  •  Customer/Client Focus experience strongly preferred 
  •  Proficient in Communication and Negotiation skills strongly preferred 
  •  Previous presentation experience required 
  •  Initiative, Collaborative, and skilled in financial management 
  •  Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion with parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and/or standard accepted practices 
  •  Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service 

 

   Qualifications, Education and Experience: 
  •  High School Diploma or equivalent preferred 
  •  Degree from an accredited school preferred 
  •  Proven work experience as a sales representative 
  •  Must maintain clear MVR, valid DL, and active auto insurance

Access to Protected Health Information (PHI) 
- This position will require the employee to handle Protected Health Information (PHI) for duties related to 
document and report preparation.  Policies and procedures will be strictly adhered to make sure PHI is protected 
as required by the HIPAA Privacy Rule. 

 

Work Environment:  
- This position requires full-time operation in the field, calling on Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Sleep 
Facilities/Clinics, etc.  

 

Physical Requirements:  
- Sitting, standing, walking required 
- Visual abilities include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision. 

 

This position is expected to work during normal business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. This
