Overview:
As a Float Pool (Critical) RN at Wellstar Kennestone, you will be a proactive, versatile team member supporting a variety of clinical settings in a busy, state-of-the-art hospital. You’ll work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional, individualized care in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the unique opportunity to enhance your skills, expand your clinical expertise, and positively influence patient outcomes across diverse patient populations.
Required Skills:
Current Georgia RN license or multi-state compact license
BLS certification required upon hire; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience (new graduates are welcome)
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
Strong computer literacy and ability to adapt to clinical technology
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment, responding calmly to emergencies
Positive attitude and a collaborative team spirit
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in acute care, critical care, or medical-surgical units
Proven ability in utilizing evidence-based practice and participating in quality improvement initiatives
Prior experience as a preceptor or mentor to new staff
Bilingual abilities or familiarity with diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Less than 1 year of clinical experience post-graduation, ideally in a hospital setting
Other Requirements:
Night shift availability (7:45 pm – 7:15 am)
Every other weekend and 2 major / 2 minor holidays required
Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, and proof of compliance with all health and safety standards
Ability to travel across units within Wellstar Kennestone as needed
