Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist (Cath Lab Technologist)
Position Type: Full-Time, Day Shift (10-hour days, 07:00 – 17:30)
Start Date: ASAP

Job Overview:
Join The University of Kansas Health System as a dedicated Cath Lab Technologist, responsible for supporting cardiovascular procedures within a high-volume, patient-centered environment. You will operate advanced imaging and diagnostic equipment, assist physicians during complex interventions, and ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab, including angiography, angioplasty, stent placements, and electrophysiology studies.
  • Prepare and operate state-of-the-art imaging modalities to visualize coronary and vascular structures.
  • Assist cardiologists and other physicians during procedures, ensuring optimal imaging quality and equipment functionality.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and comfort throughout procedures, promptly addressing any concerns or complications.
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards.
  • Document procedure details accurately in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver coordinated, quality patient care.

Qualifications:
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R), Radiologic Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT), or registered Cardiovascular Interventional Specialist (RCIS).
  • Relevant clinical experience in radiology, interventional cardiology, or related fields.
  • Strong patient-centered care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
  • Certification and licensure must be current and in good standing.

Preferred Skills:
  • Prior experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a cardiac catheterization or interventional lab.
  • Knowledge of cardiac procedures, vascular imaging, and related protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
