Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Echocardiographer to join our cardiac imaging team in a full-time, day-shift capacity. Under the supervision of the EKG/EEG/ECHO Supervisor, you will perform high-quality ultrasound imaging of the heart and related structures, supporting accurate and timely diagnoses. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with modern equipment in a friendly environment, contributing to patient care in a community-focused hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and related cardiac imaging studies following established protocols and technical standards.
Acquire clear, accurate images of the heart and nearby structures for physician interpretation.
Assess patient history and condition to adapt imaging techniques appropriately, considering age-related and individual-specific needs.
Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their comfort and understanding during procedures, and responding to nonverbal cues and physical limitations.
Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and image quality.
Document procedures accurately and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
Certification in Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (RDCS) required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Proven experience performing echocardiograms in a clinical setting is preferred.
Strong understanding of human growth and development, with the ability to tailor procedures to a patient’s age and specific health conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to emergent situations and modify imaging techniques as needed.
