Required Skills:
Active RN license
BLS certification; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience
Proficiency in wound management, JP drains, wound vacs, hemodialysis catheter care, fistulas, PCA, and pain management
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
Capable of floating across Med/Surg units as needed
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in sepsis management, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA
Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Meditech Expanse
Experience with IV/VAT team procedures, PICC placement, and in-house phlebotomy
Ability to handle post-op overflow cases such as total joint surgeries and GI/abdominal procedures
Preferred Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
At least 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
First-time travelers with 2 years of permanent staff RN experience in acute care are eligible; those previously employed as permanent staff must have been separated for at least one year
Other Requirements:
Certification in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts, including every other weekend and 2-3 holidays per 13-week contract
Ability to work 4 days one week and 3 days the next
Up to 7 days of approved time off; no more than one weekend RTO per contract
Travel and licensure reimbursements, paid sick time, and additional benefits
